Mission Adventures:
The YWAM Melbourne family came together during the first two weeks of 2010 to host Mission Adventures.
MA is a 10 day Youth Camp where the aim is to introduce young teens into the world of missions through a 3-day training course, followed by a practical outreach.
Outreaches varied from Blessing the neighbourhood by gardening and helping out where needed, to placing a volleyball net on the beach and inviting people to play, to setting up a prayer station in the centre of Melbourne.
As Kerygma Teams, it has been a joy to get together with all the ministries on base and to bring all our skills and talents into one event, and enjoying each other’s company. Edwin took up the daunting challenge of leading the event and did a fantastic job.
We certainly feel right at home here in YWAM Melbourne.
KT DTS:
Speakers are beginning to confirm and prospective students have begun to enquire. The KT DTS will begin on the 9th of June 2010 and will continue till the 29th of November.
We are aiming for twelve students…Please pray with us and for us as we piece this DTS together, there are challenges as ever, but we continue to seek the Lords guidance and wisdom in all things.
Sarah:
It is great to be back with Kerygma Teams and in Missions after a break of nearly 2 ½ years. I never thought I would see myself on the other side of the world, so far from family and friends, however, I certainly do feel God’s hand holding me steadfast as promised when praying about coming here.
Edwin, Emma and the children have been wonderful in welcoming me here to Melbourne. They are great fun and it is an absolute honour to be working with them.
I am thoroughly looking forward to what God has in store for us here as Kerygma Teams within YWAM Melbourne, it is a lovely place with wonderful people seeking to serve God with all of their hearts, it’s an exciting time Down Under.
Mission Builders:
Here in YWAM Melbourne we welcome people who wish to serve for any period of time up to three months as Mission Builders.
Mission Builders live on base and serve where ever needed, and wherever their skills and abilities lead.
It’s a way to volunteer and get involved with missions, travel with a purpose and be part of a fun, exciting base.
Mission Builders do not have to have done a DTS or have been involved with YWAM previously.
