-L5- Leadership Training

The Art of Team Building
The last L5 took place in may 2006, in Ireland. We run this training course every 2 to 3 years. The next L5 is planned for January 2009 find out more here.

Since Vatican II there have been an increasing number of Catholic and ecumenical initiatives geared towards training Catholic young people in evangelisation and towards mobilising them into missionary service. As the number of participants in these lay missions programs has grown over the years, so too has the awareness of the need for more specific leadership formation.

Discipleship training, knowledge of doctrine, and an awareness of general leadership principles have often proven to be insufficient to meet the demands placed upon those lay people leading todays outreach and missions teams.

- L5- was created to attempt to address this need.

- L5- is a practical, hands-on 5-week Leadership training course (hence the title) designed for people like you - Christians who lead evangelisation and / or missions teams for lay-missions organizations, prayer groups, communities, or discipleship training programs. The course will cover the following topics:

It is our hope that the relationships formed in these 5 weeks will provide a kind of supportive missions network that will last well beyond the conclusion of the course.

- L5 - is being run by Kerygma Teams, a branch of the interconfessional lay-missionary organisation Youth With A Mission. Kerygma Teams supports Catholic parishes, renewal movements, and groups active in evangelisation, mercy ministries, and training in the Catholic Church. In addition, Kerygma Teams offers opportunities for Christians to become involved in short - and long-term cross-cultural missions projects.
